Davide Sanclimenti finally said the three little words Ekin-Su Cülcuoglu (and viewers at home) were waiting to hear, “I love you.”
On their romantic last date, who saw a musical performance by Alfie Boethe couple shared tears, kisses and emotional words after the long-awaited moment was finally reached.
The couple, who have had quite a bit of drama throughout the seriesare favorites to win this year, having been constantly pulled together after explosive rows.
Their roller coaster relationship peaked a few days ago, after the Italian stallion gave the Turkish soap star a romantic gesture in the form of a tiramisuand last night it seemed to intensify even further after fans spotted they get freaky under the sheets.
And tonight their relationship reached a whole new level.
“We’ve had such a terrible yet arduous yet very passionate journey,” Ekin-Su began.
“It hasn’t been easy even for me because I usually don’t give a second chance, but when I saw that you cared about me and wanted a second chance, I saw that this woman really wants me, she’s really interested in me, so I felt like I had to put my ego aside and give her a second chance,’ replied Davide.
She continued: “You have the kindest heart I’ve known,” he added: “I feel like I already have one, because I found the person I wanted,” before saying: “The past days I’m really looking forward to going out with you because I have a feeling that we will enjoy every day.
“I’ve always felt that you are not only beautiful, but also very smart and strong. You know what you want.’
“I feel like I’ve found the real connection I’ve been looking for, I feel like this is the right time to tell you that I truly love you,” he said.
Ekin-Su (and the rest of the nation) were left in tears, before the pair were serenaded by Alfie (who Ekin-Su later admitted she had no idea who he was).
As they danced together in the romantic setting, she answered him the three little words in Italian, before bursting into more tears.
“My best date I’ve ever had in my life,” Davide later gushed to the boys.
“Most of all, it made me say everything I wanted to say lately that I couldn’t, and that was the right time,” Ekin-Su added.
Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2.
