Love Island viewers made their feelings known Jacques O’Neill‘s antics during Wednesday’s episode.
The rugby player, 23, Paige Thorne‘s tumultuous relationship is put to the test again on tonight’s rematch, as he got to meet newcomers Mollie Salmon and Cheyanne Kerr.
After declaring it was time to “test” his romance with Paige on yesterday’s episode, today’s teaser saw Jacques befriend Cheyanne a bit.
At the start of the episode, Jacques Mollie pulled over to the patio and suggested she’s more than welcome to come and lay in bed with him, but minutes later told Cheyanne he wasn’t “interested.”
“I don’t want someone who is the same as me,” he said.
“I want someone a little more reserved, quieter, and probably like you [Cheyanne]†
After Jacques confidently claimed he had found a “best friend” in Paige Throne, fans were quick to take to Twitter about his recent behavior.
“When Jacques said Paige was his best friend, I didn’t think he meant it literally,” one viewer wrote.
“If Jacques stays with Paige after that, I’ll call ofcom,” added another.
“Not only did Jacques disrespect Paige, but the way he ignored Mollie,” a third person wrote.
Love Island was recently hit with Ofcom complaints about Jacques’ behavior toward Paige during the steamy heart rate challenge.
Paige was upset after Jacques’ heart went out for his ex-girlfriend, football legend Michael Owen’s daughter, Gemma.
Taking the result personally, Paige said to international dressage rider Gemma: ‘I’m not going to lie, I kind of did it just because you guys have history and I can’t compete with that.’
‘Oh f**k off mate, if you’re serious… because you’re just pathetic. I don’t understand how you can have a problem with that, mate,” he roared at Paige.
But will he decide to stay with Paige or re-pair?
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
