LOVE Island fans were left confused when the cast for the upcoming series was announced, but one usual type of contestant was missing.

ITV has distributed information about the singles who will enter the villa next The Sun exclusively announced the full line-up yesterday.

But regular viewers were surprised to see that there wasn't a single blonde woman OR man present.

Several people took to social media to comment on the noticeable lack of diverse physical types on this upcoming season of the reality dating show.

One person giggled: “Not a single blonde, Love Island you have outdone yourselves.”

Another triumphantly exclaimed: “Wait… there are no blondes this season??? We fucking won!!!”

A third joked: “Whoever is in charge of casting this year definitely has a type…”

However, one Love Island fan was quick to point out that this doesn't mean producers are more racist.

They wrote: “Diversity does not mean dark brown hair instead of blonde.”

A second nervously anticipated: “The blonde girl is going to be the bomb lord, help us.”

This year's cast will be much more career-oriented than the usual collection of models and influencers.

So far the line-up consists of an account manager, a real estate expert and an investment specialist.

Maya Jama will once again join them as hosts as she puts her matchmaking skills to the test.

The TV personality has already done that landed in Mallorca prior to the live kick-off on June 3.
