Love Island‘s Jacques O’Neill has no grudge against Paige Thorne crack with Adam Collardafter the rugby star left the villa last weekend.
Fans watched Jacques say goodbye in tears after his romance with Paige ended house love.
Things weren’t helped by the arrival of bombshell Adam, who previously appeared on Love Island in series four and was eager to get to know Paige.
After a difficult few days, Jacques announced he was going home, which left him and Paige in tears.
However, Sunday’s episode saw Paige and Adam kiss for the first time after a few days of flirting, after Jacques had previously given his blessing for her to continue.
When he appeared on Love Island’s After Sun moments after the kiss aired, he seemed relaxed with the prospect of Paige and Adam making progress.
Talking to Laura Whitmore, he explained about himself and Paige: “We were close and we got on well.
“I saw things on the outside working between us, but like I said, she’s doing what she’s supposed to do.”
He also reminded viewers that he had told the Welsh paramedic to ‘go on’ after breaking the news that he was leaving, just as he did ‘at Casa Amor’.
Later, Jacques and host Laura both got a little emotional as they discussed his departure, as he told her, ‘I had to see the boys, my mother. It got too much for me there.
“I was in a situation where I didn’t want to be there anymore,” with Laura commenting, “It was a brave decision.”
When questioned by the host on his ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen Since he was also at the villa, he confirmed that the couple had no interest in reviving their relationship.
Jacques told viewers: ‘I wasn’t interested in the beginning, it wasn’t important to me. When we were together, we had a good friendship.’
He then teased that it must have been Gemma’s “worst nightmare” to see him and Luca Bish, whom Gemma is currently paired with, becoming such close friends during their experience.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and on the ITV Hub.
