Former Love Island participant Jessica Hayes opened up about her tragic miscarriage.

The 29-year-old reality star updated fans of her heartbreaking news on Sunday via an Instagram post that showed her baby bump next to a photo of a positive pregnancy test.

She began her lengthy caption with a trigger warning to alert followers to the disturbing content of her post and explained the details of her miscarriage.

Jessica said, “I’ve debated that it feels really strange to open up and feel vulnerable but you know I’m always open and honest with all of you and it’s hard to pretend I’m fine , as it has been a tough week.

“But I hope that someone going through the same thing can help this. I was pregnant and not anymore.’

“I talked about my first loss and I didn’t know I’d be here again sooner this time, but it still feels like complete sh*t.

“It’s not just about losing a pregnancy, it’s about the plans you make, your vision of what that baby or child could look like, what your family will look like and it’s taken from you in the blink of an eye” .

The star is a mom to her three-year-old Presley and shared how she passed for him.

She revealed, “When you’re experiencing loss, you have to pretend you’re fine, wipe your tears and move on because you have a little one, you cook dinner, you read the stories. You do the school run. Nothing stops.

“It was a traumatic day when it happened, which I didn’t expect at all. I tried to keep busy and go about my day which was a big mistake.

“I hurried home in a panic after being convinced last time (previous bleeding) that it might happen again, so I was just happy to get out on the other side.”

The famous face suffered a miscarriage in 2020, the same year she lost her other son Teddy at 19 weeks.

Jessica won the 2015 ITV reality dating show and admitted she still wanted three children despite confirmation that she had split from her fiancé Dan.
