Love Island‘s Luca Bis has become the first islander to drop the L-bomb, telling: Gemma Owen he loves her in a sweet moment.
The islander took Gemma, with whom he has been paired up since the first week, to the terrace where they had their first chat.
“I can’t help how I feel and hopefully you feel the same,” he told her after the couple recently enjoyed a romantic date. “You know I fell for you.”
“I’ve never been so sure to say anything,” he added, saying he “sees a future” with Gemma.
Luca continued, “I think I’m in love with you. No, I’m in love with you.’
A smitten Gemma replied, “I love you too.”
Luca told her he felt like he could be himself with her, even when he was angry about it the departure of best friend Jacques O’Neill.
Their fellow islanders were overjoyed for them, with Luca admitting he’d been nervous getting the words out.
Many fans were happy too, with one writing: ‘Luca and Gemma kinda have my heart ngl,’ and another adding, ‘Why am I laughing like an idiot at Gemma and Luca.’
Luca and Gemma both remained faithful at Casa Amor, with some think they are on their way to the final.
Relationship expert Louella Alderson thinks so, telling Metro.co.uk after Casa Amor: ‘Now Gemma sees Luca can be trusted and has done nothing she wouldn’t be happy about; we hope to see more of Gemma letting her guard down and opening up.
“This couple has the most potential to make it to the finals based on their popularity with the public and their genuine connection.”
Meanwhile, Thursday’s episode was marked by a rematch, with bombshell Adam Collard choosing Paige after Jacques O’Neill’s departure.
Fans raved about Danica Taylor after Billy Brown reunited with her, while Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope, and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page got back together.
Love Island continues Friday night at 9pm on ITV2.
