Love Island Stars’ Secret Connections to the Royal Family – From Prince Harry’s Ex to ‘Undercover’ Prince

LOVE Island stars often have connections with other celebrities, but some have strong ties to the royal family and beyond.

From working weddings, exes and princes, the past islanders have had a great deal of royal acumen.

Here, The Sun takes a look at all of the past royal connections on the show and how it was revealed.

Camilla Thurlow famously had a date with Prince Harry before going to Love Island where she met her now-husband Jamie Jewitt.

She became a fan favorite on the show as viewers really flocked to her.

Camilla was a humanitarian worker removing land mines and explosives in countries where wars were going on – and that’s how she met Harry.

The star has never actively spoken about her relationship with Harry, but has been asked on Love Island: “Is it true you used to date Prince Harry?”

The abrupt question prompted Camilla to reply simply, “A lady never tells.”

AJ Bunker has a slightly more distant relationship with the royal family, with her brother starring as the actual royal connection.

Her brother, Tom Bunker, attended Prince Phillip’s funeral as a Lance Bombardier in the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.

In 2012, AJ’s brother was one of the members of the King’s Troop Royal Artillery who was ordered to fire the processional minute cannon at the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh.

Aaron Francis hosted celebrity and luxury parties before entering the villa.

Two famous faces he met before his period were Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice after they both attended their wedding.

He said before entering the villa: “I hosted and chatted. It was nice and intimate. Everyone is chill.”

Aaron would have been close to the many royals who attended the wedding.

However, he swore not to speak of his famous Love Island encounters, adding that his role “comes with responsibility” to avoid bringing them up.

If we’re getting technical, everyone who was on Love Island in 2021 has their own royal connection — because Teddy Soares himself is a royal.

On an episode of Love Island’s Unseen Bits, Teddy confessed that he was once technically a prince of Nigeria’s Delta State, until his grandfather’s death wiped out the connection.

His co-stars were left in utter shock when he revealed his famous trait, but Teddy didn’t grow up to be a prince – and he’s no longer associated with the royal family in Nigeria.
