Love Island has given us a romance-filled episode – followed very soon by what looks like a brutal dump. I can’t say they don’t have coverage.
The slightly slower episode on Thursday had Luca Bis declare his love for Gemma Owen in a sweet moment after their romantic first date.
That was shortly before Tasha made Ghouri Andrew Le Page her boyfriend, with a scavenger hunt around the villa.
Then fans were raving about Danica Taylor as she got a romantic first kiss from Billy Brown, before the islanders were called to the fire pit for another dumping.
Recoupling sees Adam Collard and Paige Thorne form a couple
The re-pairing shook things up at the villa, as several couples got back together – and Adam and Paige coupled up shortly after Jacques O’Neill’s departure.
The new couples are:
- Adam and Paige
- Andrew and Tasha
- Billy and Danica
- Dami and Indiaah
- Luca and Gemma
- Josh and Summer
- Davide and Ekin-Su
- Deji and Coco
Luca Bish and Gemma Owen drop the L-bomb
Luca became the first islander to drop the L-bomb and, in a sweet moment, told Gemma that he loves her.
The islander took Gemma, with whom he has been paired up since the first week, to the terrace where they had their first chat.
“I can’t help how I feel and hopefully you feel the same,” he told her after the couple recently enjoyed a romantic date. “You know I fell for you.”
“I’ve never been so sure to say anything,” he added, saying he “sees a future” with Gemma.
Luca continued, “I think I’m in love with you. No, I’m in love with you.’
A smitten Gemma replied, “I love you too.”
Tasha Ghouri Makes Things Official With Andrew Le Page
Tasha and Andrew are the first couple to make things official at the villa.
Tasha was on a mission to make Andrew her boyfriend in Thursday night’s episode, writing Andrew notes and sending him around the villa, as has become tradition thanks to series three’s Kem Cetinay.
Her notes told him to go to the places where they had their first kiss, and where Tasha was candid about her “superpower,” while the islander waited for him by the fire pit.
She told him that her Love Island experience was a “roller coaster” and that, in the midst of all the drama, they always found their way back to each other.
“I know I can be a lot,” she continued, adding, “We do have a confused, complicated story, but I love that it’s our story.”
She said Andrew constantly makes her laugh and makes her feel like she’s the “only girl in the world.”
Tasha told him she can’t wait for him to meet her family and friends, then asked, “Would you like to be my boyfriend?”
‘Naturally!’ Andrew responded and the couple shared a kiss.
Billy Brown and Danica Taylor share first kiss
After Danica suffered weeks of heartbreak, fans supported her.
And it looks like she’s finally found a connection, with Billy kissing her in a sweet moment.
Fans are overjoyed for them, with one writing: ‘Danica and Billy are a couple I can get behind, they both seem crazy but the good kind.’
“Wait, I’m a little here for Billy and Danica,” another said, while another added, “Billy and Danica are unobtrusively cute.”
Six islanders in danger
The good vibes didn’t last too long, though, as it was revealed shortly after that the public had voted for their favorite islanders, with the bottom two being dumped out of the villa.
Girls Summer Botwe, Coco Lodge and Tasha Ghouri, and boys Deji Adeniyi, Josh Le Grove and Andrew Le Page received the fewest votes from the public ahead of Thursday’s episode.
They were asked to stand in front of the fire pit, the result was announced during Friday’s show.
Love Island continues Friday at 9pm on ITV2.
