Love Island USA: Sarah Hyland named new host ahead of new season

Sarah Hyland has been announced as the new host of Love Island USA, and has confirmed the news in the most iconic way.

The Modern Family actress has replaced Arielle Vandenberg for the upcoming season, after the program switched from CBS to Peacock.

On Instagram, the 31-year-old made her announcement by posing in her bikini while soaking in the sun on the back of a yacht, with a glass of wine in hand – which made us all extremely jealous.

She wrote the upload caption: ‘I have an SMS !!!! And this is a juicy one!

“I can not wait to be your new host of @loveislandusa #hostwoman withthemostesses #loveisabeach @peacocktv.”

Well, she definitely got those hat marks off.

Sarah’s fiancée, Wells Adams, was one of the first to celebrate the move in the comments below.

The Bachelorette star proudly replied, “We’re really out here turning the reality TV beach dating sector.”

Love Island airs on Peacock on July 19 and will be broadcast for six nights a week – following a similar pattern to the hugely popular UK series, currently airing on ITV2.

Prior to the launch, the Geek Charming actress revealed her excitement at helping a group of singles find love in the sun.

“Love Island is such an iconic program and I love the dating reality space,” Sarah told E! News. ‘I’m just so excited and honored to be a part of this … They always have the hottest people on their show.

‘I love that the girls mostly stay together and really bond and stand up for each other.

“As a woman, I love it when I can see it on television. But I definitely know that we are going to have many unexpected surprises and unpredictable twists that we have never seen before. We’re pushing the boundaries this time. ‘

For the first time, Love Island will also be told by Iain Stirling, who voices the British series.

Jenny Groom, EVP of Entertainment Unscripted Content at NBCUniversal, confirmed that they picked up the comedian earlier this year.

“The moment the decision was made to bring a brand new version of Love Island to Peacock, we knew we had to get Iain on board,” she said.

‘Iain embodies everything that fans of the show like – humor, disrespect and brutal fun. Love Island would not be the same without him. ‘

Love Island kicks off on July 19 at Peacock.
