The islander had a rocky start at the villa, having to reconnect just 24 hours after arriving. She picked Luca Bish, who was linked to Gemma Owen – and it was a risk that wasn’t worth it.
Since then, Danica has kept her options open, but when news of an impending reconnection hit, she had to make a decision.
On Tuesday’s episode, she showed an interest in Andrew, but when the couple chatted on Wednesday, he ended any possible romance with her.
“I’m just focusing on Tasha,” he told her, while Danica, 21, later admitted she was frustrated that Andrew, 27, was disconnecting so quickly.
Later in the episode, Danica Jay, 28, who also got to know Antigoni Buxton, joined in for a chat.
However, almost immediately, Jay cut her off, insisting that because of the age difference between them, he sees more “romantic potential” with Antigoni.
Danica said she was considering choosing him at the rematch, with Jay reiterating that he saw more potential with Antigoni and telling Danica, “You go ahead.”
Danica continued chatting with the girls, pointing out that her choice in reconnecting wouldn’t be based on a strong bond she wanted to follow, but more on who she wanted to kiss and get to know.
Despite Jay’s rejection, Danica chose to reconnect with him over new boy Charlie Radnedge.
“Danica, why would you choose Jay after that chat earlier,” one viewer asked, while another added, “Danica, he literally said he didn’t like you, why would you choose him???”
Meanwhile, plenty of others are heartbroken for Danica because of her experience to date, with one pointing out, “You must feel sorry for Danica, she had a rude reaction from Luca when he chose her, now she’s getting the same from Jay.”
“Jay literally stole Paige from Jacques and everyone in the villa was happy but Danica picked one boy and they all pretend she stole Antigoni’s boyfriend,” another said, while another added: “Every time Danica man, they get mad like they’ve been picked for jury duty.’
Fingers crossed for another bomb for Danica soon!
Elsewhere in the rematch, Ekin-Su Culculoglu also managed to wreak havoc by rejoining her former flame, Davide Sanclimenti.
