Love Island viewers are champions Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu for the win after the couple survived the ultimate relationship test – house love

Thursday night saw the series’ most dramatic reconnection yet when the girls returned from Casa Amor and each island resident was given the choice to stick with their pairing or switch after getting to know the bombshells.

Luckily for Davide and Ekin-Su’s shippers (and our blood pressure), they both decided that their connection was just too strong throw away what they have.

It’s been a long road for them to get where they are, but the smile on Davide’s face when Ekin-Su walked back into the villa alone after he too chose to stay said it all – despite him joking that he didn’t trust her while chatting with host Laura Whitmore

The couple shared a sweet kiss before sitting down by the fireplace, with Twitter users saying every other couple is now “irrelevant” to them.

“Ekin and Davide have just secured their spot in the final,” one person tweeted.

“If Ekin-Su and Davide don’t win, I’ll never watch Love Island again,” said another.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing when re-pairing, after Davide’s head turned for a moment when he kissed new girl Mollie and shared a bed with her.

Mollie dropped the chaos grenade shortly before she left the villa as Davide chose not to be with her and left her single.

Of course, Ekin-Su was furious, noting that she felt like she was “having a heart attack” upon hearing the news, visibly trembling with frustration and upset.

After pulling Davide to one site to confront him later, he explained that he wanted to be “tested” and still believes their connection is real.

But something tells us that Ekin-Su won’t let this go too soon, especially since she told Davide she wore an orange dress because she felt like a “fire pepper.”

However, viewers are confident that the “hilarious,” if not sometimes “toxic” couple will go all out – even if rocky waters lie ahead when Ekin’s bedtime cuddle with George at Casa is revealed.

Other couples who have survived Casa Amor’s test include Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, who both remained loyal and couldn’t hug each other soon enough on their reunion.

In the meantime, Paige Thorne and Jacques O’Neill also stayed togetherbut Paige was left in tears after discovering Jacques played away while she was gone, leaving them both wondering how real their relationship is.

Love Island continues weeknights at 9pm on ITV.
