Josh Samuel Le Grove and Coco Lodge have the Love Island villa after receiving the fewest votes from the public.
Six boys and six girls remained vulnerable on Thursday night after the vote was announced, but in the end it was Josh and Coco who packed their bags.
Andrew Le Plage, Deji Adeniyi and Josh were in danger from the boys, and Coco, Summer Botwe and Tasha Ghouric were the bottom of the girls’ voices, with Tasha then bursting into tears, declaring that her confidence had been shattered after being in the bottom three a few times now.
“I knew it was coming, I don’t know how,” Josh said as his name was announced by Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
However, Coco seemed to expect the news and assured other girls that she was “okay” after learning she would be the next to be dumped.
One person who didn’t take the news very well, however, was Billy Brown, a fellow Casa Amor bomb who called Josh his “best friend” at the villa.
He told the cameras afterwards, ‘Me and Josh, we had a strong friendship. The two weeks I’ve been with him feel like years. He was my best mate in her.’
The boys hugged and Billy was visibly moved as he said to Josh, “See you soon, brother.”
Gemma Owen was quick to comfort Coco when the gang said goodbye and told her, “You’ve got this.”
Speaking at the beach hut after the couple parted ways with the villa, Turkish actress Ekin-Su described Coco as “cheeky” and “a lovely girl,” saying she “will miss her presence at the villa.”
Accepting her fate, Coco said to the girls, “I accepted it, I think it was the right time for me. There’s no one here for me,” before later joking that she’ll wait for guys to get in her DMs when she gets home.
Summer—who was rescued by her fellow islanders after getting the lowest score last time—was emotional when she saw both of her Casa Amor friends leave, as she “started bonding” with Josh, and he and Coco were ‘two of the most important people here to me’.
Coco thanked the girls for welcoming her with open arms, while Josh waved off his departure: “It’s not too deep.”
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
