Kiwi golf ace Lydia Ko is reportedly scheduled to marry her two-year partner in South Korea in December.

A 25-year-old New Zealander who was born in the capital Seoul and emigrated to New Zealand at the age of 6 is reported to tie up with modern heir Jeongjun at Myeongdong Cathedral on December 30th. Korea Herald..

The couple started dating two years ago, and Ko posted a selfie on Instagram with Jun last August with a love emoji and the caption “soon”.

Jun is the son of Hyundai Card Vice Chairman Jung Taeyeon, one of the best businessmen in South Korea. His maternal grandfather is former Hyundai Motor Chairman Chung Mong-koo.

“I thought Lydia should get married a couple of years later because Lydia is an active golfer, but she said she wanted to get married sooner,” said Ko’s father, Gilhon.

Currently ranked 5th in the world, Ko entered the scene in 2012 when he won the Canadian Open, just 15 years old.

She won two majors, the 2015 Evian Championship and the following year’s ANA Inspiration, winning a total of 23 tours.

In 2015, she became the youngest male or female player in history to reach the top ranks at the age of 17.

Ko also won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics last year after being delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ko was the last to play in the Women’s PGA Championship in Maryland and dropped out of the title battle after the third round of bogies.
