DANCE band M People freaked out after Liz Truss used their famous hit “Moving On Up” to walk onto the stage.
Founder Mike Pickering said the Manchester band were “furious” the prime minister had used their hit 1993 song for her keynote speech.
But he admitted the band was “left-leaning” and not a fan of the Tories.
He added: “They are furious – I am devastated.
“She won’t be there long to use it again. I would imagine.’
The son of the group’s lead singer, James Small-Edwards, was voted Labor councilor in west London in May.

After Mrs. Truss took office, he tweeted: “A suitable choice! This tired and maladjusted Tory government is indeed leaving.”
The prime minister personally chose the hit to walk to, aides said.
But the angry mob had been told by lawyers that there was nothing they could do about it.
Boris Johnson provoked a similar reaction when he walked up to Friendly Fire’s Blue Cassette during the bash last year.
