M25 traffic HELL: Over HOURS of queues as oil spill causes chaos in rising heat | UK | News

Delays are occurring on the M25 counterclockwise in Essex. According to National Highways, up to an hour has been added to the travel times.

There was a collision between a car and a motorcycle on this part of the road.

It is not clear at this time whether there have been any injuries.

As a result of the collision, three of the four lanes between junction 29 and junction 28 were closed.

The first is for Romford and the second for Brentwood.

Delays have been further increased by an oil spill.

National Highways reported: “Emergency services and National Highways Traffic Officers are present.

“There is an oil spill over the road surface that also needs to be cleaned up.

“Please allow plenty of extra time for your journey if you are traveling in the area tonight as there is over five and a half miles of traffic congestion on the approach, with queuing traffic back to J30.
