What is Jackie Weaver known for?

Jackie Weaver rose to fame after a video of a Handforth Parish Council meeting went viral on YouTube following several hilarious moments.

The pandemic and subsequent lockdown forced all of us to Zoom to hold work meetings or attend family quizzes (remember?), and Handforth Parish Council was no different.

It meant we were treated to comedy gold when a group of well-meaning but frustrated parish councilors yelled at each other as they tried to solve local problems.

The most famous moment came when Brian, a member of the council, told Jackie Weaver that she “had no authority here” and therefore should not remove people from the online chat.

Jackie simply ignored Brian and removed him from the meeting, causing all hell to break loose. A voice is heard describing the ‘terrible behavior’ that then takes place.

Since then, Jackie Weaver’s name has been in the spotlight. She was booked to make several media appearances shortly after the clip went viral and has now secured a spot on Make Me Prime Minister.

Who knows what will happen if she wins.

Watch Make Me Prime Minister on Channel 4 and All 4.
