Kieran Tierney will remain at Arsenal this summer, despite reported transfer interest from Premier League champions Manchester City.
Tierney has impressed since his £25million transfer from Celtic in 2019, despite occasional injury problems, recording 87 Arsenal appearances in all competitions.
The 25-year-old Scotland international has now been linked with a move to Pep Guardiola’s side, but it looks like it won’t happen anytime soon.
Football Scotland reports that there is ‘no offer’, adding that ‘the general feeling among the player’s camp is that he will stay [at Arsenal]†
The Gunners were recently linked with City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is said to be a priority target for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
Another City player, Gabriel Jesus, is expected to undergo a medical check-up at Arsenal ahead of his £45million move from the Etihad Stadium.
Jesus has only one year left on his contract and is keen to leave to secure more playing time ahead of Brazil’s World Cup campaign later this year.
The arrival of Erling Haaland at City would also have been a factor behind Jesus’ decision to leave.
Arsenal will also hold another round of talks with Raphinha’s representatives this week as they shift their focus to the Leeds United star following the finalization of the Jesus deal.
