Man United 4-0 Liverpool: Erik ten Tag era kicks off with a bang in pre-season preparation in Bangkok

Goal by Jadon SanchoFred and Anthony Martial United are running with just 33 minutes left on the clock, as fans have seen Erik ten Hag’s team in action for the first time.

It was a good first impression, with a high-pressure approach that saw Liverpool frayed before 10 half-time changes slowly slowed the pace.

Sancho was first on the scoresheet after 12 minutes and swept the ball over Alisson after Bruno Fernandes’ cross was not cleared.

Struggling with United’s brisk attack, the young Liverpool defense soon found themselves trailing 2-0 before another cross was passed only as far as Fred, who chopped Alisson from 25 yards.

It was 3-0 a few minutes later when another Liverpool fullback was exposed to Martial to run on and swallow a shot over the keeper.

The second half was a quieter affair, but the crowd was treated to performances by Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and new signing Darwin Nunez in the last half hour.

Facundo Pellistri completed the defeat with 10 minutes to go, after some fine work by Amad Diallo in the build-up, with a fine finish in the area.

More to come.
