MANCHESTER UNITED remains in the hunt to sign Palmeiras’ Brazilian teenager Gabriel Veron this summer.
The winger has previously been linked with the Red Devils but it is thought he could be available this summer for just £10million.
The 19-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Europe, after he came on the scene at the age of 17, scoring twice and delivering an assist off the bench on his second appearance.
The following season, Veron scored nine goals and five assists for Palmeiras en route to the Copa Libertadores, scoring twice in the knockout stages.
Due to his good form, both Barcelona and both clubs from Manchester became interested in signing him.
He has been compared to Gabriel Jesus, who left Palmeiras as a teenager to join Manchester City and won four Premier League titles with the club.
Manchester United expect a busy transfer window under their new manager Erik ten Hag as the club look to improve on what was a hopelessly disappointing season for them last time.
The Red Devils finished sixth in the Premier League, missing out on Champions League football and exiting all three cup competitions in the first rounds.
Marcus Rashford’s contract expires next summer, he was one of many United forwards who underperformed last season, leaving the door open for new signings to get some early playing time.
United have already been strongly linked this summer with players such as Christian Eriksen, Frenkie de Jong, Antony and Denzel Dumfries.
