Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco is under Manchester United‘s goals as the club tries to bring in another attacker.

United are hoping to make as many as five new signings before the transfer window closes on September 1 and talks are underway to bring Real Madrid star Casemiro to Old Trafford.

According to reports, the search for another midfielder, a right-back, a backup goalkeeper and a versatile striker is also being sought this month.

United are interested in signing Christian Pulisic on loan from Chelsea while Ajax star Antony has been a target all summer. However, according to The TelegraphBelgian international Carrasco is also a ‘serious’ target for the club.

The report adds that the 28-year-old may leave Atletico for £25.5million.

United have been linked with transfers for a host of Atletico players who inquired about Matheus Cunha’s availability after being offered the chance to sign Alvaro Morata. Reports in Spain have suggested United have made a massive £110 million bid for Joaoo Felix, although the club insist no offer has been made.

Atletico are among the clubs that have had the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, who remains determined to leave United this summer.

United’s attempts to sign Carrasco, however, are considered “standalone” and not part of efforts to fire their Portuguese veteran.

Pulisic, meanwhile, would like to move to Old Trafford, where he hopes to secure regular first-team football for this winter’s World Cup.

Chelsea are sympathetic to Pulisic’s decision to leave the club and they will approve his departure. However, they will block the move to Manchester as the Blues are unwilling to join the US international with a rival.

Brazilian international Antony has been a top target for ten Hag since his appointment in May and has flourished under the Dutchman at Ajax.

Earlier this summer, the Eredivisie champions moved to thwart United’s interest by raising their asking price to around £67 million.

Recent reports suggest United are planning to return this week with a ‘massive offer’ for the 22-year-old, but it remains to be seen whether it will meet Ajax’s asking price.
