Marilyn Manson Case Compared to Johnny Depp’s Amid Viral Thread

Marilyn Mansonlegal situation with Evan Rachel Wood – with whom he is accused of abuse – is compared Johnny Deppsays… this as a Twitter thread connecting the two goes viral.

The thread – consisting of several tweets trying to portray MM as an abuser – began on Friday with the author, who says she is an IPV survivor / lawyer, setting out what she claims is proof that she insists that she supports ERW’s terrible allegations against her ex.

At a few different points in her deep dive, the Twitter user mentions ties between Manson and Depp – including the fact that they are good friends … while suggesting that Manson might snatch a page from his JD’s playbook by his accuser to take to court with a defamation case.

As Olasmediatv.com reported… Manson accused Wood of the composition of her claims against him in an alleged extensive scheme which he says was intended to ruin his reputation and career. He denied all her allegations, including those of the other women who also accused him.

But back to Johnny for a moment, because there’s a furious debate over whether the claims he made against Amber Heard – which was found by a jury as mostly true – is in fact comparable to Manson … who also claims his accuser makes it all up.

The Twitter user notes that the cases are completely separate with different evidence and allegations – but throughout, it seems to imply that JD has set a dangerous precedent for men accused of abuse … including Manson.

A handful of online consents – namely, that the support Depp received during his trial could bounce back by automatically lending himself to other stars in similar scenarios … in this case, Manson, who according to some is credibly accused, taking into account of the core of his case.

Others, however, insist that Depp’s support does not automatically mean support for Manson … and that it is wrong to try to confirm the two cases just because they are friends.

What almost everyone seems to be missing is that Johnny was within his right to take Amber to court and have the facts set out… just like Manson, like anyone else. This is called a proper process – and everyone is led to exercise it if they have a legal leg to choose.

Johnny had his day in court, and Manson will have his too. To try to register public sentiments in some way before it seems like a silly task… and yet.
