While it was titled Endgamethe last avengers movie won’t be the last in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During the Comic Con presentation in hall H, two new ones avengers movies were announced by Marvel Studios. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty arrives on May 2, 2025, with another avengers movie follows months later, with Avengers: Secret Wars on Nov 7, 2025.
Marvel head Kevin Feige noted that the back-to-back Avengers movies will wrap up Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (It was announced that a Fantastic 4 film will begin the phase, with the film set to have a release date of November 8, 2024.)
The avengers franchise is the crown jewel of Marvel. The first avengers, released ten years ago, combined multiple movie franchises — Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor — and was seen as a gamble when Marvel announced its ambitions. The gamble paid off, and the film became Marvel’s first to exceed $1 billion. The fourth and most recent episode, 2019’s Avengers: Endgame was for a time the title of highest-grossing film of all time, with $2.79 billion worldwide.
These films will be the first episodes since Robert Downey Jr. retired from the role of Iron Man.
