AMAZON Prime series The Boys has broken streaming records despite being canceled.
The creator of the superhero series recently revealed that the the next series would be the last.

But if the ratings are anything to go by, the audience is crying out for more.
The popular series exceeded all expectations and was watched for a whopping 1.3 billion minutes between July 15 and 21.
This also marked the first time that The Boys took home the title of #1 streaming title of the week.
It also marks the eighth time that The Boys has reached the one billion view milestone.
The show has done this more times than any other Prime show in history.
Despite reaching all these milestones, creator Eric Kripke has made it clear that the fifth season will close the chapter in the superhero story.
Earlier he told his fans: “The boys Season 4 premiere week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the final season!
“That was always my plan. I just had to be careful until I got the final approval from Vought.
“I look forward to bringing the story to a bloody, epic, steamy climax. Watch Season 4 in TWO DAYS, because the end has begun!”
At the time, fans took to social media to express their displeasure that the show was almost over.
One person shared: “I will miss this crazy and wacky show – I love the characters you created for us. I'm looking forward to seasons 4 and 5 and will try to just focus on enjoying it.”
Another pleaded: “Please give us 10 episodes of season 5 instead of 8.”
The Boys is based on the comic book series of the same name and follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they battle superpowered individuals who abuse their gifts.
There have been some shocking scenes so far, including a superhero orgy, a character nearly dying after being strangled by a giant penis, and another character having his eyes and brain lasered out.
