Meghan Markle in 'A-list mode' in Colombia as Prince Harry is 'hesitant' | Royal | News

Meghan Markle beamed broadly as she accompanied her Prince Harry on their four-day Colombia tour A body language expert thinks Meghan is in “confident, A-lister” mode for the trip.

Judi James believes the Duchess of Sussex is bringing a celebrity-infused approach to the tour. She told the Mirror: “Meghan's 'Hey, here I am!' pose, facial expression and styling give her complete confidence in an A-lister style here.

“Her eye expression betrays excitement, and her symmetrical smile seems to be a nod to a more royal approach. The way she carries herself is celebrity-inspired 'special' and far from nonchalant, relatable and down-to-earth.”

The Duchess of Sussex held her husband's hand as they arrived in Bogota, the country's capital. The mother of two looked effortlessly elegant wearing a sleeveless, knotted, halterneck cardigan with matching navy blue, ankle-length trousers by designer Veronica Beard.

The body language expert assessed the confidence and added that it appears this is the moment Meghan has “been waiting for her whole life”.

However, Judi believes there is a rift between Meghan and her husband's feelings as he seems “hesitant”.

She added: “He's forming a polite smile, but his expression is a little more subdued and complex. His eye expression is almost wary, which could be natural given that he's a royal without the kind of protocols and even safety nets that the Firm will have when they're on proper royal tours.”

The children's school in Bogota, the Colegio Cultura Popular, was heavily guarded by armed police and officers on motorcycles.

Harry has expressed his security concerns and is refusing to take his family to the UK after his tax protection was withdrawn following his departure to America, on the grounds that the UK was not safe for his family.

In addition to these meaningful interactions, the Duke and Duchess will experience Colombia's rich heritage.”
