Meghan Markle ‘most intelligent’ royal and would be richest ‘in the real world’ | Royal | News

The Duchess of Sussex is said to earn the highest salary ‘in the real world’ based solely on her degree from university.

A survey by international education provider Oxford Royale also found Meghan to be the “most intelligent royal” and “using her platform to raise awareness about serious world issues reflects her intelligence”.

Research, conducted by Erudera, estimated the income of each family member based on the degrees they received during their education.

Long before Meghan’s acting career, she attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, graduating in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in theater and international relations.

It is initially believed that the Duchess wanted to study English at Northwestern University, but ended up with a double major in theater and international relations at the prestigious Chicago Institute.

During her studies she was a member of the student association Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Meghan also did an internship at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires and spent a semester studying in Spain.

According to Erudera’s research, Meghan would likely take home an annual salary of £39,357.

The company found that Prince Charles, who studied archeology and anthropology at Cambridge University, would be the second richest – with a salary of around £37,359.

Meanwhile, Prince William is said to be just behind his father with a salary of around £34,539.

He received a degree in geography from St Andrews University, where he met Kate.

The heir apparent also took a gap year.

He graduated in 2005 with a 2:1 in Geography.

Kate, who also went to St Andrews, left with a master’s degree in art history.

The study suggests she would be the sixth highest paid royal, with an annual salary of around £33,282.

At the bottom of the list would be Peter Phillips, the eldest child and only son of Princess Anne, whose estimated average income would be £30,418.

He studied sports science at the University of Exeter.

Prince Harry, who did not go to university, was not included in the survey, which is made up of a top 10.

Unlike his older brother, Harry chose to skip college and instead attended Sandhurst, a royal military academy in England.
