A knife man who stabbed a woman in her 50s to kill and stabbed another woman is being hunted by police.
Officers were called to a house on Windmill Lane in Newham, East Londonjust before 4am today (Sunday) where they found the two women.
The woman in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second woman in her thirties was taken to hospital and her condition is said to be “not life-threatening.”
Police are now looking for the man known to both victims.
Chief Inspector Lisa Parker said, “My thoughts and condolences go out to these women and their friends and family.
“I know that people in Newham and especially those in the Stratford area will be shocked and concerned by this tragic incident. I share their concern and can assure them that specialized detectives are working hard to identify and arrest those responsible.
“Local officers will be patrolling the area and I urge anyone with information or concerns to speak to those officers. They are there to protect and support you.’
