The Hundred has opened a new stadium Minecraft, with children’s design ideas, including a roof garden and a moat.

Minecraft has been entertaining kids for over a decade now, surpassing the description of mere video game to become a massive platform for social interaction and education.

Every child, and parent, knows what it is, and many have learned to use it to create things for fun and as a tool in school. Big new Cricket Tournament The Hundred took advantage of this by calling in 10 kids to design their dream stadium in Minecraft.

Designed to help promote this year’s The Hundred competition, the final design includes elements from all 10 of the finalists’ designs in one mega-stadium, which includes everything from a roller coaster to a rainbow.

The ‘Every Block Counts’ competition invited children to draw or paint their dream stadium and then the top 10 designs were judged by a group of experts, including Minecraft expert James Delaney and Birmingham Phoenix women’s teammate Issy Wong.

The final design is not only set in space, but also includes a rollercoaster, a roof nature garden, a moat with sea monsters in it, a rainbow arch and a translucent wicket.

The stadium is free for anyone to download and use in Minecraft and can be accessed from The Hundred website.

‘It was fantastic to see the levels of creativity of this competition. “We saw submissions above our wildest expectations and the final construction is truly a huge cricket stadium,” said Issy Wong.

‘It was amazing to be a part of this initiative; another first for The Hundred, as it continues to push the boundaries in sports and entertainment. ‘

The Hundred 2022 itself kicks off on August 3, with each game specifically designed to last less than three hours, with other elements to attract a wider audience, including live music performances during matches. It is meant to be the perfect summer day with friends and family of all ages, and has already become very popular in its first year in 2021.
