SHOCKING CCTV shows a man jumping over a level crossing and staggering along a railway track seconds before a train races past.

The driver, who was traveling at 100 mph, honked his horn at the idiot, who appeared to be intoxicated.

The images, from Lincolnwas released as a warning to local students.

British Transport Police Chief Inspector Ricky Sweeney said: “The railroad is not a place to take a shortcut.

“Getting somewhere a little faster isn’t worth the risk.

“We have seen firsthand that this can lead to tragic consequences.

“There is simply no excuse for not following safety procedures at level crossings.
