Mother and two children ‘devastated in brutal dog attack as terrified witnesses help victims covered in blood and bite marks’

A mother and two young children were reportedly killed in a brutal dog attack.

Witnesses say the terrifying mauling left the dog’s victims “covered in blood and bite marks.”

Derbyshire Police have not yet confirmed the attack reportedly taking place in Ilkeston at 6pm on Friday.

According to locals, officers removed two dogs, believed to be Staffordshire Bull Terriers, from a house in the rural town.

They claim that a dog mover and dog handler were also on site.

Speak with Derbyshire Livesaid one resident: “There were quite a lot of police cars and it looked really serious.

“I think they had someone in the back of a police van, but I couldn’t see much.”

Another added: “The police were standing next to the roundabout and they were there for quite some time.

“I can’t imagine how those involved must have felt.”

The Sun has reached out to Derbyshire Police for comment.
