RIL Chairman and Managing Director, Mukesh Ambani, has stepped down from the Board of Directors of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. Akash Ambani, who is a non-executive director on the company’s board of directors, will take over as chairman of the Indian telecom market leader.
In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange, the subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited also announced that Pankaj Mohan Pawar will take over as the company’s general manager.
Pawar succeeds Sanjay Mashruwala, the outgoing CEO of the company. Pawar has so far served as a director on the board of the telco.
