Murder investigation after woman in her 50s is found stabbed to death in east London home – next to second woman with knife wounds

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman in her 50s was stabbed to death in her eastern home London – next to a second woman with knife wounds.
Officers rushed to an address in Windmill Lane, Newham on Sunday, October 23 at 3:35 a.m.
The victim’s family has been notified and an autopsy has been arranged meet police confirmed.
The second woman, in her thirties, was taken to hospital, but the injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are looking for a man they believe knew both victims.
Chief Inspector Lisa Parker of the Met’s North East BCU: “My thoughts and condolences go out to these women and their friends and family.
“I know that people in Newham and especially those in the Stratford area will be shocked and concerned by this tragic incident. I share their concern and can assure them that specialized detectives are working hard to identify and arrest those responsible.
“Local officers will be patrolling the area and I urge anyone with information or concerns to speak to those officers. They are there to protect and support you.’
