A murder investigation has been launched after an elderly man was found dead in a building in Old Trafford.
Emergency services arrived at the scene on Edgbaston Drive around 9:30 am on Wednesday morning following a report of welfare concerns. A man in his 80s was found tragically dead.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police said. He is still in custody for questioning by detectives.

Earlier today, police remained on the scene on Edgbaston Drive. The photos showed that there were at least two police cars on the road.
Investigators were also spotted. In a statement, a spokesman for the Greater Manchester Police said: ‘At 9.30 am yesterday morning officers were called to a report of concern for the welfare of a man at a property on Edgbaston Drive, Stretford.
“Officers were present and a man in his 80s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A 51-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.’
