Within days, TWO bodies were recovered from the same New York bay, police said.
Police revealed the men showed no signs of trauma.
A man, believed to be in his 40s, was retrieved from Upper New York Bay just before 6 a.m. on July 11, New York police confirmed.
He did not respond and his body was discovered floating on the water, according to the New York Post.
It is unknown how he died, as coroners perform an autopsy.
Police have not yet identified the man as the investigation into the circumstances behind his death continues.
The horror discovery came just days after a man was found off the coast of Bay Ridge.
An NYPD spokeswoman revealed that the man, believed to be in his 20s, had no signs of trauma to his body.
The man, who was wearing clothes, was removed from the water and his body was taken to the state’s Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police have not yet identified the man during the investigation.
Coroners have not yet determined a cause of death.
Upper New York Bay is surrounded by the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island.

Authorities concluded that the remains belonged to a man who died in the 1970s or 1980s.
Lieutenant Ray Spencer said: The New York Times Investigators believe the man died of a gunshot wound.
He also told the outlet that detectives “definitely won’t rule out” that the victim’s death could be mafia-related.
More bodies are expected to be discovered at low tide.
