David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) is running out of time Neighborsas Emma McIver (Jessica Clarke) instructs her prisoner friend Dan Waskett to kill him before the end of the night.
Emma, as viewers know, has demanded that Freya Wozniak (Phoebe Roberts) has a tendency to injure her colleagues, such as a way to make up for her part in Gareth Bateman’s death†
Freya agreed to do so, aware that if she didn’t, Emma would cause David to suffer during his time behind bars.
However, things took a turn for the worse, as Freya couldn’t help Emma last week as she was due to appear in court on the same day, and so Emma made her presence felt, targeting David in jail.
David, meanwhile, got a chance to secure his freedom, after Andrew Rodwell (Lloyd Will) ordered him to wear a cord while he was attacked in an attempt to get hold of the corrupt guard on his wing.
The horror, however, ensued when David was left alone in the company of prisoner Dan, who imprisoned him at Emma’s request.
Emma, meanwhile, stormed into number 24, where she held Freya, Kiri Durant (Gemma Bird Mattheson), and later Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes) at gunpoint.
The villain ordered Freya to care for her buddy Austin Julians, who suffered a serious gunshot wound, but Freya reiterated that she cannot perform surgery at home.
Emma therefore contacted Dan, who gave David on the phone, hoping this would be enough to convince Freya to perform the surgery.
The “Coming Up” segment at the end of the episode, which teases what viewers can expect from the Wednesday (July 13) edition of the soap, painted a bleak picture for David, as Emma texts Dan, order him to kill him†
Is David’s fate sealed? Will he die at the hands of Dan?
Or will Freya, Kiri and Nicolette manage to overpower a gun-wielding Emma and notify the authorities of David’s impending danger before it’s too late?
Neighbors continues on Wednesday, July 13 at 1:45 PM and 6:00 PM on channel 5.
