Netflix is looking for a new chief accounting officer.
The streaming giant said on Friday that Ken Barker, who joined the company in June, had tendered his resignation effective October 7.
“Mr. Barker’s resignation was a personal decision and is not the result of a disagreement with the company over any matter related to the company’s finances, operations, policies or practices,” Netflix added in a securities filing.
Netflix says its CFO, Spencer Neumann, will take on the role of the company’s chief accounting officer until it finds a permanent replacement. The chief or principal accounting officer plays a critical role at any publicly traded company and oversees all accounting and financial reporting.

The company will be looking for a new collective bargaining agreement at a critical time as it seeks to control costs and initiate new revenue streams. The most notable is that Netflix is launching a cheaper version commercial break level in the coming months.
