A caravan fire at a property in New Plymouth on Saturday was immediately dealt with by firefighters.

Caravan fires at the New Plymouth facility were quickly reduced on Saturday afternoon.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) was warned at 2:45 pm about a fire at Strandon’s Paynters Ave.

According to a statement from FENZ Media, two fire trucks and their crew were sent to their address to extinguish the flames and departed by 3:15 pm.

A sung mattress was visible in the grass area near the burned-out caravan, and the canvas screen was severely damaged.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
