Nick Cannon has revealed that he doesn’t believe he will ever find another love like the “fairytale wedding” he had with Mariah Carey.
The presenter, 41, was married to the singer, 53, between 2008 and 2016, and the couple share 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.
While they may have split up more than six years ago, Nick — who is on his eighth — and reportedly ninth, child on the way – admitted Mariah will always hold a special place in his heart.
He revealed on the podcast The Hottee Talk Show, “I think because I’m a true romantic, I’m a true believer in love and I let the capsules of love be where they lie. I’m not a timeline guy.
“I will never have a love like I had with Mariah. It was literally a fairy tale with Mariah, so I’d rather it be that way.”
Nick admitted he’d rekindle the romance if it were exactly the way it was before, adding, “I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn’t the same, I’d say:” Damn it, I messed up.”
“But if I had the chance, if it could be the way it was, I’ll be there.”
Mariah has been with boyfriend Bryan Tanaka for six years since their breakup, while Nick has had a string of romances in the following years.
He revealed that he wouldn’t want to get in the way of the couple’s relationship as Bryan has been an amazing stepfather to his kids.
Nick added: ‘The dude is great with my kids and we have family gatherings and stuff together so I really respect it.
“But come on, that’s my fantasy love. That’s someone I’ll always love.’
Since his split from Mariah, Nick has a five-year-old son Golden and an 18-month-old daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, 13-month-old twin sons Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa, and is expecting another baby with Bre Tiesi.
He also had son Zen with Alyssa Scott, who tragically died of brain cancer last December when she was five months old, and Abby De La Rosa is also currently pregnant but has been tight-lipped about whether the baby is Nick’s.
Nick, who is currently expecting his eighth childrevealed in May that he doesn’t believe his is “built” for marriage.
He explained, ‘That? [marriage to Mariah]was one of the greatest experiences of my life for me, and to put an end to that…why go back if i couldn’t make that work right?
“Once I gave it my all for a future screenplay, I’d have to get something I’d never seen before, never experienced before, to be willing to go back and do something like that.
“Because I’ve done my best in this space, and now there’s a new journey in my life that’s different. I’m not going to backtrack and put myself back in that position because it doesn’t get any better than that.
“I love my family, all my children, and every woman who has blessed me to experience that.
“But marriage, and everything that comes with it, is so…it’s a lot. You literally enter into a partnership where two become one. I wasn’t built for that.’
