iPad Pro M4 with nano texture
Apple expects a large number of orders for its OLED iPad Prowith shipments now expected to exceed 9 million.
Research firm Omida predicts OLED shipment volume for tablets could reach 12.1 million units, reports DigiTimes. About 8.12 million units will be for hybrid OLEDs, with the iPad Pro being the only iPad in use so far.
This supports an earlier claim March report, which stated that Apple's suppliers were preparing 8.5 million OLED panels for iPad Pro use. In Januarythe number was 10 million OLED panels for 2028, but the order would have been reduced by 2 million.
The report adds that LG Display uses both 11-inch and 13-inch panels, while Samsung Display deals with 11-inch versions. Samsung will also reportedly expand from one to two iPad OLED production lines, adapting the A3 line to work with the two-stack OLED process.
