Omari Hutchinson sent a thank you note to Arsenal and the club’s supporters after they decided to leave the north London and go to Chelsea.

The move came as a surprise as the 18-year-old has been tipped for a great future with the Emirates, especially after an excellent campaign for the youth team last season.

His performances led to him being called up to Mikel Arteta’s Premier League squad on the run, although he never made an appearance for the first team.

Despite the decision to leave ArsenalHutchinson is incredibly grateful for his time at the club and wrote a heartfelt message to supporters after the move to Chelsea was confirmed.

He wrote on social media: “Dear fans, it’s time to say goodbye.

“My experience with Arsenal has been fantastic and unforgettable.

‘I will always remember my time here and the wonderful journey it has taken me.

“This will be one to remember and one to remember.

“Arsenal made me feel very welcome and respected, so a huge thank you to all the staff, coaches and my team-mates – it was a real pleasure.

Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the Arsenal fans who have supported me and shown love.

“Words cannot describe how much I appreciate, respect and love you all!”

Chelsea announced their contract for Hutchinson on Saturday, with Jim Fraser, head of youth recruitment, saying: “We are delighted that Omari has agreed to a contract with Chelsea.

“He is a brilliant asset who joins us as an exciting up and coming talent in hopes of making an impression in the senior game soon.”

Although the 18-year-old represented England at youth level, he made his international debut for Jamaica in May this year in a friendly against Catalonia.
