One person died Friday afternoon following a serious accident at South Head near Helensville in Auckland.
The accident, involving two vehicles on Zuiderstraat, was reported to the police just before 3 p.m.
A second person was taken to hospital in critical condition, police said.
Police say the investigation into the cause of the accident is still ongoing.
