A manhunt is underway after an armed man opened fire on a party held in a mechanic’s shop, killing one person and injuring three.

The shooting took place around 9:40 p.m., when the gunman entered the store and opened fire.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another victim, a man, was apparently beaten in the leg.

According to CBS, the other two victims, both women, sustained grazing wounds.

They are all expected to survive.

A motive for the shooting is not yet known.

No arrests have been made in connection with the crime.

Authorities are still searching for a suspect.

The mechanic shop is located at 89th Avenue and 129th Street in the Richmond Hill neighborhood of Queens.

Richmond Hill is an affluent community bordered by Kew Gardens, Woodhaven and South Richmond Hill.

The neighborhood is often referred to as family friendly, with many parks and schools nearby.
