One-legged mechanic, drug kingpin and rogue juror (AND his mother) is jailed for trying to solve a drug trafficking lawsuit from a boxing promoter caught with £150,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis
A one-legged mechanic, a drug kingpin, a rogue juror and his mother have been jailed for trying to solve a lawsuit.
Boxing promoter Leslie Allen, 66, recruited a team of accomplices to help him clear charges for possession of £150,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine and pepper spray in 2018.
The plot backfired ‘spectacularly’ after other jurors in the Warwick Crown Court case became suspicious of juror Damien Drackley’s behavior while deliberating verdicts.
They reported him to the judge, who then convicted Allen without a jury and sentenced him to 13 years in prison.

Mark Walker (pictured), 57, who was known as ‘Walker the one-legged mechanic’, was found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice
Following a trial at the Old Bailey, Allen, Drackley, 37, Mark Walker, 57, who was known as ‘Walker the one-legged mechanic’, and Laurence ‘Del Boy’ Hayden, 54, were found guilty of conspiracy to protect justice.
Drackley’s mother Lorraine Frisby, 56, of Birmingham, had admitted the allegation and requested that jury deliberations be made public.
On Friday, Allen appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from prison, while Frisby, Drackley and Walker attended court in person, where they all received prison sentences from Mr Justice Cavanagh.
