OnePlus bombards Indian market with offers

a plus

OnePlus started as a very focused company looking for the best user experience at the lowest possible cost. Of course, this would have hurt the profit margins, and it was understandable for the company to continue to increase the prices of its flagships. In less than a decade, OnePlus has become one of the most prominent Android smartphone brands in India. This was possible because of the strategy the company adopted in its early days.

In 2022, OnePlus is not the company we saw a few years back. At the moment, OnePlus is working pretty hard to win market share in every possible price segment. Whether it’s the lower middle, mid, semi-premium or premium, OnePlus goes everywhere with full power. The company has merged with Oppo and is now aggressively reselling its smartphones in the country. It’s not like OnePlus has not done this before. However, it was more subtle at the time. Now OnePlus is very aggressively reselling Oppo as well as Realme smartphones.

OnePlus smartphones still pretty good

Do not get me wrong; his smartphones are still pretty good. OnePlus 9RT and the OnePlus 10 Pro are two of the most excellent releases this year. But what happens to the Nord 2T, which was recently launched. What’s up with the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, OnePlus Nord CE 2, OnePlus Nord Buds, and more devices the company recently launched.

OnePlus came early with a model similar to Apple. There were only select premium devices each year, and OnePlus focused on delivering the most to consumers at a fair price point with these smartphones. However, the company now seems to be doing what Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo and other Chinese brands are doing.

OnePlus goes out of its way to capture as many consumers as possible. The cost is that consumers no longer really know what to expect from the company. The OxygenOS 12.1 is pretty good and stable. So, performance is not something I am too worried about with OnePlus. What the company is going to do next, however, is unpredictable.

OnePlus 10R 5G did not feel like the flagship it should have been. The build quality is just not there to support the price point. Hopefully OnePlus can turn things off a bit and really just listen to the consumers. There needs to be a focused approach and OnePlus already has millions of loyal fans. While adding new ones will be great for the business, it does not really have to try to get everyone.
