FILM director Quentin Tarantino has said he is a huge fan of Peppa Pig.
The American maestro behind Reservoir Dogs called the animated children’s TV show “the biggest British import of this decade.”
daddy-of-two Quentin59, said he watches the cartoon a lot with his two-year-old son Leo.
In an interview with the latest issue of Empire Magazine, he said that Despicable Me 2 was the first movie he showed Leo.
He said it was “a more consuming experience than, say, Peppa Pig”.
But he added: “I really like it Peppa Pig† I watch it a lot. I’m just saying – Peppa Pig is the biggest British import of this decade.”
And it won’t be long before he’s watching the show with his new daughter, who was born last week. Her name has not yet been announced.
Tarantino’s praise is rare for Peppa, as the toddler pig more often than not rubs celebrities the wrong way.
Last year, during an online chat, singer Adele was asked if she would consider teaming up with the porky pee jumper.
Adele said she didn’t intend to. But in a later interview with Capital FM, she got a message from Peppa asking if she didn’t like her.
Adele said: “Peppa, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Every time you want to go in muddy puddles, I’m with you, darlings.
And in 2020, American rapper Cardi B said that Peppa made her angry because her daughter copied her by jumping in puddles.
