Emergency services are working to free people trapped in their vehicles after a two-vehicle accident near Oxford in North Canterbury on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 10:47 am at Starvation Hill on Oxford Rd.
An Oxford fire truck and one from Rangiora were on the scene and crews were working to free people from the vehicles, a fire service spokesman said.
Two ambulances and a helicopter were also called to the crash, a St John spokesman said.
