One person has been seriously injured after being hit by a car north of Temuka.
A person has been taken to hospital in serious condition after being hit by a car on State Highway 1 north of Temuka.
A police spokesman said they were called to the incident on SH1 between Te Awa Rd and Oxford Crossing Rd just after 5pm.
They said a person was taken to Timaru Hospital in serious condition after a vehicle collided with a person on the road.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has advised motorists to be aware of delays in the area.
