Photo exhibition back | Star news

The photo exhibition, titled The Magic of Light, showcased the creative talents of 90 members of the Rangiora Photographic Society to the public during its official opening last Friday night.

Held in the Big Room at the Brick Mill in Waikuku, the two-faceted exhibit showcased both curated and member-provided works of photographic art.

Immediately former president of the association, David Woodcock, said 155 photos were on display for the three-day event, which is held every two years.

“It was a pleasure to be able to present another exhibition showcasing the talent of our members,” he said.

Renowned landscape photographer and club patron Andris Apse attended the opening to tell attendees that he was impressed with their work, adding that many were not asking the right price for their photos, they should be asking a lot more for their talents to reflect.
