Officers first received reports of a suspicious vehicle in Greenlane around 8:30 a.m., police said.
Auckland Police Department tracked a vehicle from Greenlane to Papakura to Puhoi on Friday morning.
The vehicle traveled approximately 100 km before a person was arrested.

The police tried to stop the car, but it fled.
The vehicle then drove south to Papakura, before circling and heading back north to Puhoi.
It eventually rammed into a patrol car on State Highway 1 near Orewa, before coming to a stop on SH1.
The vehicle was on the road for approximately 1½ hours.
According to Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport, Auckland’s Johnstones Hill tunnel was temporarily closed at 9.55am while police dealt with the incident.
