As previously rumored, T-Mobile has now confirmed a price increase for many of its existing customers. While the company hasn't officially detailed all the plans affected, so far it's known that the increase will impact Simple Choice, ONE, and some Magenta plans, as well as potentially older plans, including some from Sprint.
Affected customers will receive text messages informing them of the increase of $5 per voice line and $2 per connected device line, effective June 5. If you are a T-Mobile user or have been affected by this price increase, we want to know your thoughts and feelings about this change.

The company's official statement cited rising costs and inflation as the reason for the change and said it was the first price adjustment in almost a decade. However, with notifications going out on May 22, customers have less than two weeks to adjust to the change, which has added to dissatisfaction.
The rollout of the price increase and notification messages appears to be staggered, causing further confusion for some customers. Some have reported not receiving a notification despite having a plan in place.
While we understand that inflation is a reality and that prices will inevitably rise over time, the timing and magnitude of these increases are leaving many customers feeling pinched. X/Twitter users share T-Mobile's recent financial report, which showed record growth and profits in the first quarter of 2024.
