THIS Morning star Sian Welby said she was forced to pee on the side of the A3 after being stuck in terrible traffic all weekend.
The TV and radio presenterwho is 37 weeks pregnant, got stuck in a terrible traffic jam on the highway that lasted more than four hours.
Talk about the Bank Holiday ordeal This morning On Monday, Sian admitted that after three and a half hours with little exercise, she was forced to run through blackberry bushes along the way to relieve herself.
“I had to pee in the middle of the road,” she said. “I had to run into the forest and I didn't dare go in there because it was full of blackberries and nettles.”
The person she was riding with captured the hilarious moment on camera, as Sian raced to find some privacy so she could pee.
Dermot O'Leary, Josie Gibson and Giles Brandreth burst out laughing at the scenes, with Giles saying: “Are you coming back here from your pee? Now I've seen it all.
“Morning TV isn't what it used to be, is it?”
“The mystique is definitely gone,” Dermot added. “But who doesn't like a little rustique every now and then?”
This prompted Sian to admit: 'You know what? It was exciting.'
Sian had been following the journey on Instagram on Sunday afternoon and evening, with the traffic taking almost five hours to get moving.
Once again, the reported roadworks apparently had not taken place: a row of traffic cones caused the chaos that brought the highway to a standstill.
Sian is weeks away from giving birth to her first child, announced her pregnancy in February on Capital Radio after keeping it a secret for months.
Even her co-hosts Roman Kemp and Chris Stark seemed unaware, with Sian admitted she drank mocktails at the Christmas party in December to hide it from everyone.
This is her first baby with a radio producer Jake Beckettwho made a proposal last summer.
She has since used her platform to get advice from other mums – including pop star and mum-of-two Meghan Trainor even predict what she will have.
As Sian stood up to show her baby bump to Meghan, who was connecting live from her home in LA, the singer said confidently: 'I think it's a girl!
“She looks like she's carrying high, I love it!”
